For kids
This highly interactive musical performance with audience participation is based on the musical styles and traditions of South & Central America, the Spanish Caribbean, the Andes, Mexico, and Spain. Surcari plays a wide variety of traditional instruments while wearing ethnic hats from each country they visit.
Their colorful performances engage audiences of all ages as they sing and clap while learning about different Spanish-speaking cultures. Student volunteers play an extensive collection of hand percussion instruments along with Surcari.
Surcari also bring an extensive collection of colorful traditional hats for participants. The hats are sanitized after each use.

Surcari's multicultural performances engage audiences of all ages as they are introduced to irresistible instrumental and vocal music from South & Central America, the Spanish Caribbean, the Andes, Mexico, and Spain!
The versatile members of Surcari are multi-instrumentalists who play a wide variety of traditional and indigenous instruments, including guitar, Puerto Rican cuatro, Venezuelan cuatro, charango, bass, pan pipes, pan flute, quena, quenacho, ocarina, bombo legüero, cajón, bongos, and many more! Their extensive repertoire is drawn from the group's artistic influences, which include Latin, flamenco, classical, Andean and Latin jazz.

I just wanted to let you know how much everyone loved your performance. One of my favorite kindergarten teachers said it was, "Intense!".
I have a four year old with Down syndrome, she doesn't talk much, but all weekend kept saying "Dance!" and pretended to shake maracas because she was chosen as a volunteer (and stole your show for a moment I might add).
